I saw the Doctor as, more than anything else, being true to nature,
which is possibly the highest ideal. His goal was to produce that also
in his students. He created many true leaders. He lived and exemplified
a sense of stature and dignity, which was beyond reproach. Should his
students strive for anything less? We stand on the shoulders of giants
so that we can reach greater heights. Why fall below those heights only
to have to climb back up again?
A true leader would not squabble with other leaders, and would not join
with a group or organization not viewing harmony and love as its highest
ideal. When the Doctor inducted me into it, I remember, him calling
this, “The Family,”
Many of his followers demonstrate tremendous technical martial skills.
How many of those, unlike many of our national and international
leaders, display the true leadership of statesmanship and love for their
fellow man, and/or understand that cooperation, not conflict, be a part
of their living example?
To demonstrate anything less than that great leadership is a slap at the
memory of Doctor Moses Powell.
